Disabling call waiting, pcm upstream (i know, not supported by usr) and quick connect, doesn't help - I keep getting V92 connects with my ISP. I want to set up a connection without V92. The AT +MS command is not supported, so... Does anyone know to do this? Kind regards, Kyrill |

Disabling MOH may prevent the modem from dropping the connection in response to an incoming call, assuming you have call waiting. If it is a line related problem, then disabling upstream PCm would be the most likley to have a beneficial effect. In general, the best init string for a USR modem is AT&F1 - factory defaults with hardware flow control. If the ISP's equipment gets confused with an attempted v.92 connect, then disable v.92 with 'S32=130'. The above commands disable certain features of v.92, but I would guess that the S32=130 would be encompassing. If the line conditions are such that the modem is connecting and trying to maintain a connection too fast for conditions, then using the &Ux and &Nx commands to throttle the speed may be helpful. |
