All, I have a MD6802-U Modem (AZT 4029) and have recently moved to Italy. I am know trying to connect to the internet and am having problems. I dis-clicked the wait for dial tone to dial and when I go to connect the modem is still searching for a dial tone. So I went into the internet provider profiles and told it to ignore the dial properties and it still says the same thing when I connect. Is my modem bad or does anyone have any other suggestions?

You may need to change COUNTRY settings; if the driver you have doesn't support country you are in, you may need to find a driver that does (Aztech is NOT a USR modem - find the chipset)
You may be able to get modem to work without new driver by adding x1 or x3 to extra settings to tell modem not to do call progress detection.
