lostconnection Tl Posts: 18 | Posted - 1/24/2001 11:54:42 AM My line is not 56k compatible because the nearest loop is quite far away with possibly more than 1 A/D converter. Shall I disable X2 V90 on my external USR Faxmodem using AT command? I don't notice much difference in connection speed whether I diable or not. However, with X2 V90, it requires 2 handshakes before connection, whereas, with X2 V90 diabled, the connection time is much faster with only 1 handshake. Any suggestion? |
SARGE Tl Posts: 743 USA | Posted - 1/24/2001 6:20:19 PM Modem is trying to connect at 56k but can't and of course you've figured this out. That's the reason for extra handshake. Go ahead and use s32=98 since that's all you're getting anyway. |
