I've got a usr 56k winmodem. I hate it but its the only thing that halfway works on this stupid 2x system. I tried lutient and can only download at 1.0 to 1.4 with usr sometimes i get 2.7 to3.4 but lota headaches from the modum first is there any decent co that make a modum that will work on a 2x priority sys???. Now the newest problem when I disconect the icon starts to flash and locks up the computer. the alt-ctrl-del brings up a screen that seys (MSGSRV 32 not responding) end task will sometimes work but then when I shut down the error screen comes on and only reset switch will work. I reinstalled the (msgsrv 32 ) in systems and that didnt help. Its a athalon 650 ati 128 194 ram everything else seems to work except the modem I've reinstalled it many times and this dosent work either. (just a note rasberries to all those people complaning about 47-52 connections ) they ought to be limited to one supplier and 26400 most of the time)

Do the a/d conversion check. If you 'fail', forget about getting better than 26.4k until you move, or the phone company changes its facilities serving you.

HELP!!! [
I've got a USR Voice Winmodem client who can't even finish connecting. As soon as he tries to authenticate (Win95 DUN) to our servers, his connection drops. I've tried the S32=98 and S32=34, but in both cases he still gets disconnected right after he starts to log in.

Any other ideas? I've already turned off all compression and set the maximum speed back down to 57600, which are about all I know to do. Please email me directly ASAP if you have any suggestions (05/26/2000).
Thanks

v.Richard

I would suspect the setup of DUNs.

Try using the post-connect open terminal method so the customer types in user name / password, or test with HyperTerminal

Richard
