| jay_tomb Tl Posts: 1 USA | Posted - 7/13/2001 2:07:08 AM    Used modem for year on Win NT, worked perfectly. Switched to Win 2K, updated and installed new driver, but, computer will not recognize it even tho Device Manager shows it to be installed. If I uninstall the modem and reboot, the computer finds and reinstall it and it works perfect. If I don't uninstall it before I shut down, the computer cannot find it on the next reboot and it will not work. Neither Dell or USR wants to help. JayT |
| v.Richard Tl Posts: 6222 USA | Posted - 7/16/2001 11:22:59 PM  Is it a Winmodem? Can be related to the modem being installed more than one time. Remove all traces of the modem install & start over. Better yet, do like I do and forget Win2k, WinXP and stick with NT. Works just fine for me.... Aloha, |
