Hello everyone.I was wondering if anyone got any control center errors like error on cmd=S00.Another error I get is could not write to memory,then it would give the memory address.Sometimes when I change a setting in the control center I get these errors.I have had several problems.I get the error error on cmd=S00 in both winxp and 98se.I get the memory error only in xp.I wonder if I had a bad flash,if so it would explain all of my problems.But it flased without a problem and with no errors.Maybe after this I can stop bothering everyone about my problems.I would appreciate any help.

Thank You,
Thunderrooster

You can use the modem without Control Center;
control its operation via DUNS connectoids / extra settings, etc.

Hi,

I'm using a U.S.Robotics 5686D Ext. modem, with Windows 98SE, and I'd like to know how to use the DUNS connectoids, so I won't have to use the Control Center. Can you please explain to me, what the DUNS connectoids are? The Control Center does not keep my desired settings. They change randomly, they are not even the default settings.

Hi,

I just found out what DUNS connectoids are, I went to http://modemsite.com/56k/connectoid.asp. Can I uninstall the Control Center for the 5686D U.S.Robotics modem and still use the modem? I still want to know if & when someone calls, while I am online, and who is calling.
