| Jim Dolvin Tl Posts: 1 USA | Posted - 2/9/2002 11:56:19 AM    My USR 28800 fax modem works ok on windows 95 but is brain dead on windows 3.11. It simply will not reset and has to be reinstalled every time I switch from windows 95 to windows 3.11 on a separate drive. Is there a modem reset program available to reset this modem ? Win95 has some plug and play capabilities; Win3.1 has none; There may be some settings in your motherboard system BIOS that relate to PnP OS - set it for no PnP OS; Otherwise, if you shutdown Win95, power off, then reboot to Win3.1 does it work? | jrdol Tl Posts: 4 | Posted - 2/12/2002 7:34:53 PM Hi: I tried the ideas but none worked. The modem responds only to ATA ATH ATD and ATDT, any other commands are ignored.It is an external modem plugged in to a separate serial ide board configured as Com4, Irq3. |
