I'm looking for support for modem with product ID:
66178781.
I've look at USR site and there is no drivers/firmware for this modem.

The problem is following; My modem connects only at 16800 and I get about 1 KB/s download speed. The modem is internal and ISA.

Any suggestions?

BTW: i looked at diagnostics and it connects only by v34.

Post the results of the diagnostics after you disconnect from ISP (15 minutes or more online) -
ati6i11y11
Use Hyperterminal to get the diags

Also suggest - turn off 56k protocol via extra settings

your modem is an oem and one that usr is not goin to support.
to find the drivers for this modem. you will need to look at the oem section on the usr website.
66 denotes that the modem is an oem modem and on the oem site you will have to search for 1787 for the drivers for
your modem.
cheers

Your diagnostics are incomplete - missing the
ati6
results which are important in evaluating what's going on.

Try another connection, then get
ati6i11y11

Aloha! Richard.

here is the USR page:

http://www.usr.com/support/s-modem/s-modem-oem-downloads.asp

They have discontinued firmware upgrades. If you're already at V.90, this shouldn't be a problem.
