pauldog Tl Posts: 231 USA | Posted - 3/2/2002 11:16:00 PM After discovering that the Control Center doesn't seem to recognize older modems, even v.90's, I uninstalled it. In the middle, the dialog box for deleting shared .DLL's came up. After clicking "yes" a couple of times, I noticed that the file names were from another application, and had nothing to do with the COntrol Center. So if you uninstall, don't let it delete any shared .DLL's, because it doesn't know it's own files from a hole in the ground. |
Troubled_user Tl Posts: 263 USA | Posted - 3/3/2002 10:51:54 AM I had the same problem, as I found in my XP PRO's eventlog. It deletes SEVERAL dll's, which the system file protection had to replace. Thank god I had xp! |
