I have had this modem since May. Was working fine, or so I thought. I will be connected to the internet, everything working fine, all of a sudden, it will act like it is losing the connection. The computer icons in the system tray will still be there, showing that there is a connection, but I can't do anything with the connection. I have to disconnect and reconnect again before it will work again. I have no trouble connecting at all. I have tried this modem with 2 different isp's, it does the same thing with both of them. I have a Zoom modem that I am using now so I can stay connected and have sent off an email to the usr tech support, but it is the weekend so I haven't gotten anything back yet. I was wondering if someone in here might have a clue what is wrong with this thing. It might just be going bad, if so, it is under warranty so I can send it back and either get it fixed or replaced, but it might be something else.

Thanks,
bowhuntr

First thing I suggest -
check post-call diagnostics, and post the results here

Use Hyperterminal
www.modemsite.com/56k/x2-hyperterm.asp

to issue the diagnostic commands
ATi6i11y11

after you disconnect but before you reconnect.

Aloha! Richard.
