i need to get modem on hold. i've read your site, but i still can't determine what driver i need because i can't tell who manufactured my modem. or what chipset for that matter. i have not found the FCC ID # yet because i haven't opened the comp yet.

i do know the following:

Intel (R) 536EP V.92 (COM 3)

under PCI ID i found:

PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1040&SUBSYS_10008086&REV_00

does this help?

if you know what driver i need to make this work, please let me know--it's important.

and i have call waiting.

thank you very much,

crystal

Is this a name brand pc if so what is the make and model? This modem uses the Intel (R) 536EP V.92 chip set. What OS are you using. Are you making a V92 connection?

Looks like a Acorp Electronics Corp modem.

it is a clone--bought at a computer fair in Summer of 2002. Win XP. I'm fairly sure i have V92 connection. How can i tell for sure? With this chipset and manufacturer, can you steer me to the right driver to get for modem on hold? that's all i'm trying to get.

thank you,
