is there any such a thing ?

i have a concern. i load a page, such as this for example.
and if i let it for a while it still up/down loads. this is a transfer of information, but why ? i would like to know whats going on. spyware ? it didn't do this in the past.

any advice ? thanx again. jes

please help me, before i go crazy :)

Nearly any software firewall will work equally well on dial-up as on broadband -
ZoneAlarm, etc. - and I do recommend using one even with dial-up.

There are some things that might cause some traffic to occur "when you're not doing anything" - but for the most part, it shouldn't be happening.
