Before, I had a Lucent Win Modem, which I could use the LTmoh program with. There was an option on LTmoh to "Disconnect call, switch to voice" that would automatically disconnect my connection and make my phone start ringing when someone called. Well, I can't use the LTmoh program with this modem, and I can't seem to find a way to do this with the Fax Talk software that came with my Creative Labs. Fax Talk will notify me when a call is coming, but I cannot make it auto disconnect. It's really important that incoming calls automatically disconnect my connection so the phone can ring. So, can anyone please be kind enough to help me out on this? I've really made myself sick over it! |

My CD included NetWaiting, which will satisfy your needs, probably. If it isn't included on your CD, I think you will be able to easily find it online. P.S. NetWaiting doesn't work for me because my modem doesn't recognize the call waiting tone... But you live in the USA, so it will probably have better support for the phone networks in your country. |
longsunhazuki Tl Posts: 3 USA | Posted - 6/2/2004 1:55:18 PM Yeah, I have Netwaiting installed and can use it fine. It tells me when a call comes through so I have the time to disconnect. That's not what I want though. I need my internet connection to automatically drop when a call comes in. So if I am asleep with my net on and an important call comes through, I don't miss it while sleep. You can make sounds play when a call comes through, but I'm very hard to be woke up by them. |
