Maxwellsmart Tl Posts: 3 USA | Posted - 8/12/2004 3:30:47 PM Hi I just recently bought the Best Data V.92/V.44 external modem with internet call waiting. My connection speed and surf speed is much faster, but I am still trying to figure out HOW to use the Internet Call Waiting. I have gooten it to work one time since having it. I beleive I am going to enjoy it once I figure out what to do to get it to work proper. Good Luck! |

Maxwellsmart Tl Posts: 3 USA | Posted - 8/13/2004 12:50:19 PM My pc is Windows ME, 700MHz AMD Duron Processor with 192KB On-Chip Cache Memory(was 64,but I added more memory last yr)so it's now 192 MB of RAM, 32 Bit, 20.0GB UltralDMA hard drive, 8MB Nvidia, 56K ITU 40X Max. Using an external modem (purchased at Office Max)-Best Data FaxModem, model no# 56SX-92. Does the Visual Router software that came with modem have anything to do with how the internet callwaiting suppose to work? Thanks for all your help! |
charles Tl Posts: 5879 USA | Posted - 8/14/2004 2:58:39 AM Please post a modem log to see if you are making a V92 connection. I have downloaded the drivers for this modem and checking the cnxtser.inf file it has by default.Do a search for netwait.ini or netwaiting.ini HKR, Init, 1,, "ATZ&F<cr>" HKR, Init, 2,, "AT+IBC=0,0,0,,,,,0;+PCW=2;+PMH=1<cr>" HKR, Init, 3,, "ATE0V1S0=0&C1&D2W2+MR=2;+DR=1;+ER=1;-QCPC;-QCPS=0<cr>" The string above that is in the inf disables netwaiting. +PCW=0;+PMH=0 |
