| mvadney Tl Posts: 1 USA | Posted - 8/7/2004 3:10:39 PM    Help! I moved to a rural area that doesn't have DSL. I went back to dial up thru local phone company. they told me that modem on hold would be free of charge. Right...if i can get it functioning! They gave me an init string of AT + PMH = 0 which does not work. I attempted some of the recommendations for other strings offered on this website i.e. +PSS=0;+PCW=0;+PQC=0 or +PSS=0;+PCW=0;+PQC=0;+PMH=0. Can anyone offer me any advice? Manufacturer of desktop no help, conexant says they don't make the modems, just the chipsets, ISP no help. I don't know if driver does not have necessary applet to support moh function. frustrated in misslou
