Hi all,

I hope you can help me. I have a Supramax PCI modem (V.92 ready) working in Windows XP Pro with the Windows XP generic HCF Data Fax modem driver. No problems with that but I would like to benefit from the V.92 features that my modem has and that my ISP is offering now. (Yup, the phone line already has Call Waiting)

That time the modem was sold by Diamond/Sonic Blue. There is no official support anymore @#%@&*!!!, so I tried a lot of drivers from Diamond, Conexant and Best Data but no results to get the V.92 features working. I had software for Windows 98SE to install SUP 2750 but nothing for XP.

I hope someone bumped into this too and has a solution or a workaround with a driver from another vendor or something. Is there a way to customize the SUP 2751 (XP) a bit ?

I have a Diamond 56k PCI fax modem. It said v.90 & v.92 ready on the box. I can not get drivers for it like you and have found out the chipset on my modem does not support the full v.92 standard anyways. I then had a Lucent chipset modem and that worked fine until I changed ISP. The Lucent wants to keep stepping down in speed to the point that I have a 33.6 connection. I have replace the Lucent modem with a Conexant chipset modem (Zonet ZFM5620 from NewEgg.com) and my throughput is backup. My new ISP must work better with the Conexant modem. IMO give up on the Diamond, they have sold out, and bought up at least three times since I had a Diamond video card. Each time no driver support for older products. Spend the $12.00, buy the new modem and get back to your live instead of beating this dead horse (Diamond card).
