IF the modem does not detect a busy signal, it will wait for the amount of time set in Windows connectoid/modem properties for a CONNECT (this may default to 60 seconds, but can be changed). Call-progress detection (including busy tone) requires the modem be set for the correct country you are operating in. Some countries have regulations that require devices (like modems) to wait before re-trying calls - see Aloha! Richard. |
