I installed US Robotics Internal Fax modem, device manager says correctly installed, but I get modem message error 1006. Also says "modem resources conflict with other hardware - change your configuration". After running msinfo32, did not find any IRQ conflict or other resource conflicts. How do I proceed now? Thanks.

What model USR?

Is it a PCI modem?
Try putting the modem in a different PCI slot.

If this does not help, include add'l info - what version of Windows, modem model #, and steps/process you use to install the modem.
