You must try this fabulous new freeware game, Babala, found at www.babala.org. It's a strategy game, childishly simple at first, but don't be deceived: the going gets extremely tough as you proceed into the higher levels. The gameplay, ie. the rules, are utter simplicity, a first-grader could learn the game with no difficulty at all. 125 masterful levels, but wait, there'll be 75 more levels incorporated in the next release, maybe less than a month away! (I'm told) -- it'll take you that long to prevail over the first set.

This game was developed by a rare genius mind from the Czech Republic. There are versions for Windows and Linux. It's true pristine freeware, containing no commercial hooks of any kind whatsoever. A small download.

I found this game exceptionally challenging and fun and I hope you will too. The kids will like it also -- unless they're the typical spoiled on First Person Shooter violent games. So steer them AWAY from that sludge and go with something truly golden... and free. I don't think you'll regret it!
