my modem will not work.code 10 will not start. it shows in device man...but wont detect at inernet dial up. please help thanks.

Can't give much help without more details -
what kind of modem? In what kind of system? With what version of Windows, etc.

Basically, code 10 in device manager means the modem (driver) is not properly installed.
You'll need to remove the modem in device manager;
shut down the PC; I recommend changing the modem to a different PCI slot -
and re-start computer;
You may need a CD or downloaded modem driver to correctly install the modem.
