First suggestion - check the NEC support site for Japan http://nec.com/cgi-bin/support/support.cgi?cat=local#asiapacific if that doesn't help, you'll need to find out who made the modem - specifically, which chipset/vendor supplied the actual modem and get the appropriate driver. In WindowsXP, the modem should show a PCI ID which can be used to track down the modem chipset vendor - ControlPanel/System/Hardware/DeviceManager ->Resources on the listing for the modem www.modemsite.com/56k/pcitree.asp Aloha!
