I get connected every time when the firewall is disabled but the connection always fails when it is enabled. USR external faxmodem - V.90 #005686-03 Using the driver that XP installed automatically. |
| v.Richard Tl Posts: 6222 USA | Posted - 11/18/2006 1:57:24 AM  Could depend upon the firewall (advanced) settings and exceptions. You could: Click on 'Restore Defaults' in the WindowsFirewall Advanced tab; by default, the firewall will not prevent connecting to ISP. If you still have trouble with defaults restored, suggest enable the security logging in the windows firewall (also in the advanced tab), and check your ModemLog. www.modemsite.com/56k/modemlog.asp Aloha!
