debrah2u Tl Posts: 3 USA | Posted - 3/6/2007 7:56:40 AM Richard, I have a lucent win modem, driver 8.28 V92 that has been working just fine for approx 4 years, since yesterday I no longer get informed when I have a phone call coming in. The party that calls states that it continues to ring. Would you please tell me what could possibly be the problem. debrah |
v.Richard Tl Posts: 6222 USA | Posted - 3/12/2007 10:23:04 AM I replied to your post in the subscriber forum - but since you have extra info here - about the phone continuing to ring - that would indicate you do not have call waiting disabled on your end; Make sure that the Modem-on-hold applet is being loaded - you should have the 'A' icon in the system tray - double-click it and make sure the settings are correct to enable modem-on-hold; If the ISP is not supporting Modem-on-hold - you can verify everything on your end is working by telling the modem to hang up when it receives call waiting - either in the MoH applet settings, or to test just the modem - put +PCW=1 in extra settings (see www.modemsite.com/56k/initmagic.asp ) Aloha!
