This happens shortly after i get on the internet to hours after i have logged on. when i check the phone line i hear a straight signal but not the changing signal that usually is heard. is it the modem or my phone co? |
v.Richard Tl Posts: 6222 USA | Posted - 8/29/2007 4:13:01 PM Cable company uses VoIP and doesn't provide a "normal" dial-tone line suitable for use with an analog modem. Definitely phone company related ---- ask the cable company if you can use a dial-up modem with your cable phone service - I'd like to know what they tell you. Aloha! Richard. |
