Hi - I need to be able to prompt an incoming caller for strings of touch tones, as in for example, "Please enter Job ID number:" and then save the number string to a text file. Can a voice modem do this?

The modem can't do it by itself --- you'd need software designed to do this.
The problem is many modems don't work well for voice applications.
