| abrogard Tl Posts: 3 Australia | Posted - 5/18/2008 9:48:43 PM    I'm using a smartlink usb56 fax. Nice cheap handy little thing and it's working okay. I'm using it on WinXP with the built-in fax service. I want to know how to set it up for 'pollfax', so's I can use pollfax numbers for receiving information. Maybe I need other fax software? Or maybe the fax machine isn't capable of it? Or maybe there's a way of configuring the XP fax software so's it'll do it? Anyone know? p.s. I tried using Delrina Winfax lite but it couldn't find the fax machine, which is on port 6 via the USB connection. Is it that Winfax lite is incapable of use with USB ports or is there some way to configure it? I tried looking for an 'install ports' feature in XP control panel such as I used to use on whatever it was - windows 3.1 ? - but I didn't find anything. regards, ab |
